| In an
effort to provide many rich and rewarding educational experiences for
our students, the Arts & Humanities Collaborative provides arts
education programming for students, professional development
opportunities for school employees, and consultation services for member
districts. Districts may utilize as much or as little of these
opportunities as they choose and agree to the following expectations:
* The district or school will pay
the Collaborative a participation fee not to exceed $1.50 per student,
for the purpose of covering the cost of employing a coordinator and
part-time clerk. This fee will also cover administrative costs, travel
and supplies associated with the collaborative. We hope to be able to
provide these services at the lowest possible cost to schools please
call for yearly rate.
* The district agrees to pay a
per student cost for programming and activities when the district or any
school in the district chooses to participate in a particular
event/activity. The event/activity might be scheduled for presentation
in one of the schools in the district, or at a regional site. This fee
will vary depending upon the cost of each presentation. (The costs in
the past have been in the range of $1.00 to $2.00 per student)
* The district agrees to
provide a representative to serve on an advisory council to set
directions for and monitor the effectiveness of the Arts and Humanities
Collaborative.
In return the Arts & Humanities
Collaborative agrees to provide the following services:
* The collaborative will
provide administrative oversight for the programs and personnel employed
to administer the program.
* The collaborative will
provide all necessary payroll and financial services through Eastern
Kentucky University.
* The person employed to
coordinate the program will seek out high quality and age appropriate
programs, concerts, and activities that will provide our students with
rich educational experiences in the area of the arts and humanities
including elements of heritage and culture.
- The programs and
professional development will include activities and information
that will help our schools and districts address needs relating to
the state assessment program(s)
- The Collaborative
will provide, free of charge, consultation services in the areas of
arts curriculum planning, grant writing, after-school programs or
art events.
